Burglary case solved in Gbl, 3 accused arrested: Police | KNO

Srinagar, Aug 09 (KNO): Jammu & Kashmir Police in Ganderbal on Wednesday said to have solved a burglary case by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession. “On 30-07-2023 Police Station Safapora received a written complaint from one Nisar Ahmad Mir son of Gh Ahmad Mir resident of Kumar Mohalla Safapora stating therein that during the intervening night of 29/30-07-2023 some unknown burglars have barged into his house & looted Cash worth lacs,” a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). Accordingly, police said that a case under FIR number 29/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Safapora and investigation was initiated. On receipt of this information, SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar constituted a special Police team led by incharge SHO PS Safapora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal. After hectic efforts and with the help of technical resources, 03 suspects were brought for questioning, police said. During questioning, they admitted their involvement in the commission of crime. They have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Guroo son of Abdul Rashid Guroo resident of Sheikhzoo Shilwat, Hilal Ahmad Reshi son of Mohd Ramzan Reshi resident of Pahlipora Safapora & one juvenile (name withheld), police said. “On their disclosure, stolen money of Rs.5,85,000/= (Five Lakh Eighty-Five Thousand Rupees Only) & 01 Cell Phone have been recovered. The two accused were taken into the Police Custody & one accused juvenile lodged in Juvenile home DPL Ganderbal. Further investigation into the matter is going on. More arrests & recoveries are expected,” police said—(KNO)
